KTGY’s Principals Ken Ryan, Manny Gonzalez, AIA and Rob Williams, AIA have been invited to speak at the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Building For Boomers & Beyond: 50+ Housing Symposium in New Orleans, LA. The event will be held on May 19-21, 2008 at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel and will feature a variety of educational programs focused on the needs and trends of the 50+ housing industry. KTGY’s Principal David Senden Selected to Participate in ULI Technical Advisory Panel to Recommend Highest and Best Use of Land in National City
David Senden, principal at KTGY GROUP, INC., Architecture and Planning, has been selected to participate in an Urban Land Institute’s Technical Advisory Panel (TAP) to assist the National City’s redevelopment agency in developing a master plan and a Transit Oriented Development for a 25-acre area within its Westside Special Plan Area. National City is located in Southern California’s San Diego County. The TAP’s goal is to develop creative solutions to a unique area that contains biological resources, existing industrial and commercial office uses, and is in walking distance to the trolley station. The panel has been asked to consider potential development that meets affordable housing goals, improves fiscal sustainability, and encourages multi-modal transit while considering any possible resulting conflicting interests or issues such as possible impact to the salt marsh.  KTGY Names Keith Labus & Ken Ryan New Shareholders
Award-winning KTGY GROUP, INC., Architecture and Planning, has named two new shareholders in the company’s Irvine office: Keith Labus, Principal of Studio 6; and Ken Ryan, Principal of the Community Planning and Urban Design Studio. Labus has been associated with KTGY since 2002 and offers the clientele 13 years of award-winning planning and design experience in the areas of high density market rate and affordable residential and mixed-use projects. With over 20 years of experience, Ryan has served as a leader guiding the design and implementation of a wide variety of complex high profile projects throughout the United States. Ryan joined KTGY in 2007 and currently heads up KTGY’s Community Planning and Urban Design Studio providing expertise in master planned communities, urban design, mixed-use/regeneration, resort/recreation, strategic planning and entitlement services.  Marinita Development is Under Construction on New $42 Million Vons “Lifestyle” & CVS/Pharmacy Anchored Shopping Center
Marinita Development Co. is under construction on The Shops at Sycamore Creek, a $42 million, 94,000 SF supermarket/drug anchored shopping center fronting I-15 freeway in Corona, Calif. This is the only approved shopping center in the area with both a full-service grocery and free-standing drug store. The 11.83-acre project, which is nearly 80% pre-leased, will be anchored by Vons “Lifestyle” supermarket, Vons’ Fuel Station and CVS/Pharmacy.
