Three KTGY Principals Manny Gonzalez, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, CAASH, Rohit Anand, AIA, NCARB, and David Senden have been invited to participate in the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) International Builders’ Show (IBS) in Orlando, Florida, the housing industry’s largest annual light construction trade show. The event will be held on January 12-15, 2011 in Orlando, Fla., at the Orange County Convention Center and will feature a variety of educational programs focused on the needs and trends of the housing industry. Peter Wright and Steven Martini of QualityFirst Commercial Real Estate Corp. Announce the Successful Purchase of a San Diego Industrial Building. Built in 1953, the 10,000 square foot building sits on a 13,000 square foot lot located at Commercial and 21st Streets in the up and coming area of Logan Heights. The building proudly features high ceilings, two loading docks and four roll up doors. From 1955 - 1966 the building was occupied by a beer and wine distributor and from 1970 - 1999 was utilized by a local produce company. From 1999 until 2010, it was occupied by Aztec Appliance for storage.  KTGY-designed $137 Million UC-Irvine Student Housing Project Phase III Complete
Construction is complete for Phase III of the $137 million East Campus Student Housing Project at the University of California, Irvine (UCI). Designed by KTGY and developed by American Campus Communities, the phase added a total of 1,760 beds to UCI's on-campus inventory plus a seven-level parking garage. The new LEED Gold certified campus project highlights the many new amenities and green features that will be the new benchmark for future campus developments across the U.S. This is KTGY's third student housing project at UCI, which brings the total number of KTGY-designed housing at UCI to nearly 5,000 beds.  CAX Architects Joins KTGY Group
CAX, a Tysons Corner, Virginia-based architectural firm, has merged with California-based KTGY Group. CAX Principal Rohit Anand assumes management responsibility for KTGY’s Tysons Corner office. Rohit brings 25 years of professional achievement in residential development to the merger. The merger greatly strengthens KTGY’s national presence.
