 GoldMax Surpasses 20th Store Milestone in So. CA
GoldMax USA is opening two more stores in Los Angeles County: 5908 Del Amo Blvd. in Lakewood and 18425 Hawthorne Blvd. in Torrance. GoldMax also plans to open stores in Norwalk, Santa Ana, Oceanside, Vista and Apple Valley in the next 30 to 45 days.
 Los Angeles Welcomes Green Affordable Senior Housing
Dana Strand Senior Housing represents the third phase of the redevelopment of Dana Strand Village, the former public housing site. It provides 100 one-bedroom senior apartments that are affordable to house seniors with annual incomes at or below 30% of the Los Angeles County Area Median Income. The development, designed by award-winning architectural firm KTGY Group, Inc., consists of three stories of high-quality construction with 82 parking spaces, all of which are built on grade, and afford easy access to highways 110 and 710. Project amenities include a computer center, a community room and energy-efficient appliances along with a wide array of resident services, including computer classes, ESL classes, and resident events. Dana Strand is designed to USGBC’s LEED Silver specification.  KTGY Celebrates 20th Anniversary By Volunteering At Blind Children’s Learning Center This Past Weekend
Volunteers from Orange County-based KTGY Group, Inc. Architecture and Planning wielded paint brushes, cleaned toys, trimmed hedges and did other assorted tasks this past Saturday at the Blind Children's Learning Center in Santa Ana, Calif. The volunteer project was undertaken to mark the award-winning firm’s 20th anniversary. More than 80 employees and family members participated in the beautification effort.  Michaels Development, LINC Housing Break Ground on Red Star Apartments
The Michaels Development Company and LINC Housing Corporation recently celebrated the ground breaking of a new mixed-use, transit-oriented affordable housing community in Oakland, Calif. Designed by KTGY Group, Red Star Apartments will offer affordable one- and two-bedroom apartment homes to income-eligible seniors. It is being built on the former site of the Red Star yeast factory and is expected to generate hundreds of high quality jobs for local residents and businesses.
