Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics Corporation and NewAge(R) Industries/AdvantaPure have resolved a dispute regarding patents on tubing and connector technology. The two companies have entered into a licensing agreement. U.S. patent numbers 7,093,859 and 6,290,265 were at issue.

Cost-saving Single Use Process Systems of silicone tubing, molded silicone components, and parts such as bags and bottles are now available from AdvantaPure. AdvantaPure’s Hose Track identification system, designed for process components used in biopharmaceutical and other high-purity industries, offers several safety and security advantages over conventional pen-and-paper methods of recording component usage data. Hose Track uses RFID technology to monitor individual parts and their wear-related events such as cleaning cycles. It consolidates information into a database and eliminates problems like illegible handwriting and misfiled documents.
