Historic Jewish Medal Dies Contributed to Hebraic Section of the Library of Congress (2009-04-07)
A limited number of medals were issued by the official Celebrate 350 Committee to commemorate 350 Years of Jewish Life in America (1654-2004). One of the medals was presented to President George W. Bush at a ceremony in Washington. The dies for these historic medals have been contributed to the Library of Congress for safe-keeping and in the hope that they may be exhibited in the future.
Milton Berle Inducted into Jewish-American Hall of Fame (2008-12-31)
Milton Berle is the 39th inductee into the Jewish-American Hall of Fame, a non-profit, educational project, founded in 1969. Previous honorees have included Albert Einstein, George Gershwin, Benny Goodman, Golda Meir and Hank Greenberg. A portrait plaque has been added to the exhibit on display at the headquarters of B’nai B’rith in Washington DC.
