Peter Buffett and Akon Perform “Blood Into Gold” at the United Nations (2009-03-16)
Lending a hand to end human trafficking, Emmy-award winning musician Peter Buffett, and R&B/pop star Akon will debut an issue-inspired song, “Blood Into Gold”, with a live performance at a cultural event at the United Nations. The concert is being produced by the Culture Project with legendary music producer, Nile Rodgers as the concert’s music director. Organized around the theme “Breaking the Silence, Beating the Drum”, the concert is part of a series of events celebrating the triumph of the spirit over slavery and human trafficking.
