The Sheraton Oceanfront North Palm Beach changes it's name to Crowne Plaza Oceanfront Singer Island along with major renovations and improvements.

Singer Island, Florida -- The Sheraton Oceanfront North Palm Beach re-opens on August 8, 2002 as the new Crowne Plaza Oceanfront North Palm Beach accompanied by a healthy 5 million dollar facelift. The Crowne Plaza Oceanfront Singer Island is poised to set the new standard of sophisticated casual luxury for boutique hotels in Palm Beach County.
The 193 room Crowne Plaza Oceanfront Singer Island has changed the look and feel of the hotel completely. The new guestroom and suite décor features vibrant colors, custom designed furnishings and accessories, and eclectic original artwork. The hotel will also unveil their new Crowne Club program that will include all oceanfront guestrooms and suites as well as all guestrooms and suites on the 8th and 9th floors. The Crowne Club program provides not only an elevated level of guest accommodations but also an elevated level of personal service. The Club Lounge, with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, features sophisticated furnishings, comfortable seating areas, unique artwork and a complete business center. The Club Lounge also serves daily a complimentary continental breakfast and evening cocktails and chef's selection of hors d'oeuvres. The Club Lounge staff will be available to assist with arrangements such as golf, theatre performances and sporting events. The Club guestrooms and suites are beautifully appointed in rich dark woods with custom armoires, over-sized desks, sleigh beds in all king rooms and a one of a kind custom bed with a luxurious 14 inch pillow top mattress. The bedding experience along with custom linens can only be described as "cottony delicious" according to General Manager Jack Zimmerman. Your arrival to the front door of the hotel has been changed dramatically as well. New residential privacy gates welcome you to the property with a line of Royal Palm trees paving the way to the Porte Cochere. Thirteen additional species of tropical palm trees and exotic plants have also been strategically placed to complete the lush tropical landscape architecture you will find throughout the hotel. Spanning the front of the hotel are 3 relaxing waterfalls.
Waterfalls continue throughout the hotel and lead you to the renovated Lobby Bar and Flagler's Oceanview Grille. Both outlets feature new sophisticated furniture, décor, lighting and artwork. Menus have been revised to include a wider variety of fresh local seafood, locally grown vegetables, pasta and tender steaks. The Patio Beach Bar & Grille, sporting new steel and teak furniture, still has the very best seats in Palm Beach County.
The latest addition to the hotel is the Vie à la Mer oceanfront pavilion. This permanent tent structure is climate protected and graced with sides that tie back to offer views of sea oats, white sand and the Atlantic Ocean. This latest addition to function space brings the total square footage of flexible banquet and meeting space up to 7,300.
