ALAMO, CA - Transcan Development has promoted Jeff Adams to Executive Vice President, Development. Previously, Adams served as the Director of Projects. In this new position, Adams will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project development.
His new responsibilities will include identification of new opportunities, negotiating agreements with property owners and anchor tenants, obtaining entitlements, and coordinating the activities of the various departments involved in the design, construction and leasing of development projects.
Currently, Transcan is in various stages of planning and development of approximately 3.7 million square feet throughout California including three freeway-oriented regional projects: Canyon Crossings in Riverside, a 90-acre Retail/Class A office project under construction; County Crossings in Antioch (Contra Costa County), a 1.5 million square-foot Retail, Residential and proposed Light Rail Bart Station; and California Crossings, a 1.2 million square-foot retail project in Otay Mesa (San Diego County).
Prior to joining Transcan Development, from 1978 to 2003, Adams founded and managed Designers Collective Incorporated (DCI), a successful architectural/project management firm. One of DCI’s most notable projects was the design of tenant improvements for United Airlines three million-square-foot Concourse B at the Denver International Airport.
Transcan Development hired DCI in 2001 to handle project management and architectural services and Adams served as the Project Manager. After selling DCI in 2003, Adams took on the role of Senior Project Manager for Transcan and was promoted to Director of Projects in April 2004.
A resident of Lafayette, Adams is a licensed California architect and graduated from the University of Southern California in 1976.
