Scarmoutzos, President & Founder of MVS Solutions, Inc., has been selected as a Primary Mentor in the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Entrepreneur Training and Commercialization Program for its Advanced Technology Program (ATP). This nationwide training program is provided to ATP awardee companies and is managed by the Larta Institute.

The NIST Advanced Technology Program works with industry by investing in high risk research with longer-term payoffs. This shared investment program helps accelerate the development of innovative technologies for early-stage high tech companies. According to Dr. Scarmoutzos, Primary Mentors in the NIST ATP Entrepreneur Training and Commercialization Program provide individualized mentoring, technology commercialization and entrepreneurial assistance to the ATP awardee companies.

Dr. Scarmoutzos' dual proficiency in science and business is particularly well-suited for the NIST Entrepreneur Training and Commercialization Program. His savvy business skills along with his strong science background and commercial experience make him an ideal Mentor for the NIST ATP training program. Dr. Scarmoutzos is also a Principal Advisor in the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Commercialization Assistance Program (CAP), a nationwide program focused on providing commercialization assistance to NIH SBIR Phase II Awardees (Small Business Innovation Research Awardees).
