Small businesses online fail to convert high web traffic into online sales

UK small businesses suffer from low online sales conversion because of their lack of an optimised strategic sales process online

 Print View

Oxford, UK - May 31, 2006 – Momentum Web Solutions Limited, a provider of website optimisation services to start-ups and SME organisations in the UK, today announced its sales optimisation service for small business websites. The service is expected to be attractive to organisations which are experiencing reasonable levels of web site traffic but generating low volumes of online sales.
The internet is the most direct way to engage with potential customers. The web can be particularly powerful for SME and start-up organisations that have little or no brand recognition. But the sales generating potential of a web site is dependent on consistently converting visitors to customers. High web traffic does not always equate to healthy online sales, and the structure and content of a web site are often the weak link. Transforming the performance of web sites by increasing the number of targeted leads gained through search engine activity can turn an average site into an effective online sales generator.
“Momentum is expert at increasing the lead and sales generating potential of small business web sites, even if their natural competition comes from much larger branded companies,” explains Jonathan Fink, Sales Director for Momentum. “By bringing professional optimisation and marketing skills to the SME sector, Momentum is challenging the view that only large companies can access services that are this powerful and cost-effective.” All of Momentum's customers are small and medium sized enterprises or start-ups, and its services have been developed with their unique needs and aspirations in mind.
