September 18, 2006 (FPRC) -- Police-Writers.com, a website dedicated to police officers turned authors, has added three police authors who have written about Doc Holiday, the Bible and the Electric Sewer.

Michael A. Crane after serving in the United States Marine Corps, he was an attorney, a prosecutor and police officer, with the Oakland Police Department. He has published numerous articles on the western peace officer and related topics in various publications over the past several years. Crane has a J.D. Degree and a Master's in History. His unique career experiences have placed him face to face with much of the same political corruption and violence that animates his novel, A Fistful of Thorns. His novel details remarkable and violent lives of gunfighter Doc Holliday and his volcanic consort, Kate Elder.

Robert Cornuke is a former police investigator and SWAT team member with the Costa Mesa Police Department. As president of the Bible Archaeology Search and Exploration (BASE) Institute, he has participated in over twenty expeditions around the world searching for lost locations described in the Bible. These journeys include searching for the real Mount Sinai in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, looking for the remains of Noah's ark in Turkey with astronaut Jim Irwin (Eighth man to walk on the moon) and researching ancient Assyrian and Babylonian flood accounts in Iran.

Robert’s biblical archaeological investigations and adventures are detailed in no fewer than six books. As an example, “In Search of the Mountain of God: The Discovery of the Real Mt. Sinai” tells how “armed with their courage, their determination, their wits and a Bible, Robert Cornuke and Larry Williams embarked on a journey to confirm the Bible. In the process they discovered not only their goal but a faith strengthened by the evidence. "When I stood on those scorched rocks, my life was changed at that moment," Robert Cornuke would later recall. Sneaking across borders, crawling into forbidden military installations, and using night vision goggles to avoid being detected, these men pursued their mission. In Search of the Mountain of God tells the amazing story of the discovery of what they and others are convinced is the authentic location of the biblical Mt. Sinai. Their evidence and passion will make a believer out of you.”

Trebor Nehoc, a former New York City Transit Police Officer, he makes good use of his sense of humor combined with the gritty reality of how it was then. His work, “The Electric Sewer,” is a rollercoaster ride through the final ten years of the New York City Transit Police, following the feckless Police Officer Trebor Nehoc on patrol from the police academy, through promotions, transfers and the takeover of the Transit Police by the New York Police Department. The book’s comic-strip format is complemented by cartoon illustrations originally seen on underground t-shirts “back in the day.” This seemingly aimless romp is ever optimistic, always true-cop, and very New York.”

Police-Writers.com lists 133 state and local police officers and their 408 books in six categories.
