Local Magician names Bisson Barcelona as Publicist
Well known magician begins speaking career and contracts publicist.

September 28, 2006 (FPRC) -- Barrington, NH – Bisson Barcelona, a public relations firm that specializes in high-visibility publicity and image management services, was recently contracted by well-known, New Hampshire magician BJ Hickman to be his publicist. The company will coordinate publicity efforts for Hickman and arrange speaking appearances nationally.
Hickman began his career in advertising, marketing and communications as a radio broadcaster, while at the same time performing thousands of magic shows on the side. In 1996, after 21 years, he left radio to pursue a career in magic full-time. Over the last few years, Hickman has added professional speaking to his bag of tricks. His seminars and workshops include topics on ways to apply magic and general performing arts to help adults communicate better with children. His presentation, known as PediaTRICKS, has assisted medical personnel in relaxing apprehensive kids and their families.
Hickman is an Order of Merlin-Shield (35 year) member of The International Brotherhood of Magicians and a member of the Academy of Magical Arts. He is credited with having done 5,000 live performances for nearly 500,000 people including being booked personally by three New Hampshire governors.
