100 Years of Ermintrude - an audio book raising money for charity
We have written an audio short story for the Internet called 100 Years of Ermintrude.
For National Giving Week, we are donating all the proceeds from downloads to the breast cancer charity, Walk the Walk. We are aiming to get to 10,000 downloads by the end of next week and to raise £40,000.

October 20, 2006 (FPRC) -- A few months ago I wrote a story called 100 Years of Ermintrude which encourages people to live our lives to the full.
It is written specifically for the Internet generation and only takes 15 minutes to listen to over a coffee break. We also decided that all the sales would generate money for good causes. This week we are donating all net proceeds to Walk the Walk as part of National Giving Week.
Here's what Nina Barough of Walk the Walk said about it:
"It's fantastic to hear how the story of Ermintrude was born. It never ceases to amaze me the many wonderful and inspirational ways that people find to raise funds for us, and I think in your case it was a happy accident that was just meant to be, so I hope that she and her family will have a long and happy fundraising life."
These are some of the reviews from people who have downloaded it:
"Ermintrude moved me to tears, made be laugh out loud and made me think so much of my own life - what an uplifting fantastic 10 minutes of pure 'think' time. I will read it often I'm sure, and my 18 year old daughter is already eager to see what made her mother so tearful, yet smilely."
"Beautifully crafted e book, both visually and emotively. I loved the way the story unfolded backwards."
"This is a wonderful story of how life unfolds... literally."
"Absolutely fabulous way of sharing a great story with music and vocals that really do touch the heart. Thanks for inspiring all who connect."
"Ermintrude is a moving and witty everyday story of a woman's life. The presentation, style and elegance of the story is outstanding. It is more than an ebook, using graphics, music and a narrator most imaginatively."
"Some years ago I read Jonathan Livingston Seagull and felt a better person by doing that. I also felt that the world was a better place because of others reading it too. Ermintrude has the same feel."
We are now looking for more charities to link to us and receive up to 50% of the proceeds from downloads.
