VAR India instituted annual awards to recognize the top performers in more than fifty product and services categories including servers, storage management and networking hardware. The award was given at the VAR India StarNite Awards function held in New Delhi last month. VAR India instituted annual awards to recognize the top performers in more than fifty product and services categories including servers, storage management and networking hardware. Quantum received this honor in recognition of being a “pure-play” storage vendor specializing in backup, recovery and archive and for the company’s product quality and service support.
To arrive at the final in the best tape drive vendor category, the VAR India awards process involved an extensive survey of its readers, including resellers, systems integrators and solutions providers. Vendors were rated on various parameters, and Quantum received the highest scores in this category.
Reiterating the importance of the awards, Sanjay Mohapatra, Editor, VAR India maintained that the StarNite Awards has great significance in the IT industry owing to the fact these are extended based on the votes sought by the community that is deeply involved in the day to day operations of the IT industry in resolving the customers’ IT infrastructure problems.“The results manifest that the customers are delighted with Quantum’s reliable and cost-effective tape drive solutions which address their backup, recovery and data archival needs,” added Mohapatra.
