New Website Brings the Heart Back to Homemade Goodies
At the urging of friends, family, and local clients, North Carolina choclatier Mary Ann Donnolo has launched the Royal Treasures website to bring delight to chocolate lovers throughout the world.

February 28, 2007 (FPRC) -- Before the days of mass production, chocolate was a truly special treat, but in our desire to consume this rich and delectable delicacy, chocolate has become a machine-made substance available on just about every store shelf. To cure what choclatier Mary-Ann Donnolo calls a "royal shame," Royal Treasures, an NC based handmade chocolate boutique, has announced the launch of its new website http://www.royaltreasures.com with products that cure the case of the common chocolate bar.
"Most people have never tasted real, rich, homemade chocolate," says Donnolo, owner of Royal Treasures. "When people try my truffles they say that they can’t believe the difference between store bought and handmade."
Made from only quality imported chocolate, real butter, real vanilla, real cream, and a secret ingredient that Donnolo won’t disclose, clients say that the handmade treasures deliver a completely different experience than that of other chocolates. The ‘experience’ they speak of is likely caused by the fact that chocolate—real chocolate—is a psychoactive food, causing neurotransmitters in the brain to produce the same types of feelings experienced when happy or in love.
Donnolo made creamy handmade truffles for 23 years before launching the Royal Treasures website, after an increasing number of her clients urged her to take her business online. Though the company is now online and accepting orders from all around the globe, each piece of chocolate is still hand-made using what Donnolo calls "the creamiest and best tasting ingredients I’ve ever found."
"These chocolates are ideal for special events like weddings, or for lovers to give one another on special occasions. Going the extra mile to spoil guests and loved ones with handmade chocolates is a small token of appreciation, but one that they are likely not to forget," says Donnolo.
Donnolo says the best selling items are the handmade chocolate truffles, individually wrapped drops of creamy chocolate encased in dark chocolate and made to order for every customer. Other popular items are the triple chocolate brownies and Southern-style pecan pies.
