New Medical Technology Helps People with Chronic Back Pain and Sciatica

A new exciting piece of Medical Technology has been created that helps people with chronic back pain and sciatica. It is called spinal decompression and it relieves the pressure on the discs that is causing the pain and symptoms. This technology has proved to be 86% successful in documented studies.

March 19, 2007 (FPRC) -- Finally a solution to one of the most expensive health care problems in America, back pain. According to Dr. Howard Austrager, the most common cause of back pain is disc disease and it costs the American health care system more than $50 billion per year. Thanks to new technology called 'Spinal Decompression,' there is an alternative to treating back pain other than using surgery. The programs cornerstone and key to its success is the ability to provide not only relief but also correction, strengthening and maintenance. The revolutionary technology incorporated into the two machines are the LDU (Lumbar Decompression Unit)and RX1 (Lumbar Extension Machine). These machines restore paraspinal muscular strength, increase range of motion and reduce interdiscal pressure.

Dr. Austrager says that this new treatment procedure has made a tremendous impact on patients who have seen their primary physician, physical therapist, and surgeon with little or no results. "Many of my patients felt like there was no hope for them," says Dr. Austrager. But now they have something to be excited about. A recent study on spinal decompression showed that 86% of participants who had disc disease or degeneration associated with back pain and sciatica reported immediate resolution to symptoms after receiving therapy.

"What is most amazing is the fact that spinal decompression costs 90% less than the cost of surgery. Most of my patients who reported constant pain before receiving treatment could not afford the price of surgery but thanks to this technology, they can now afford treatment. Spinal decompression does not involve surgery, drugs, or pain. My patients don't have to worry about the risks of surgery and the hassle of recovery time."
Dr. Austrager offers his first consultation free for those interested in learning about spinal decompression and to qualify them if they are candidates for the treatment. He says, "I want people to learn more about this exciting technology. It can change the lives of those with chronic back pain." Dr. Howard Austrager, D.C. of MetroWest Spine Clinic is located at 235 Walnut St., Framingham, MA 01702. He can be reached by telephone at (508) 620-1585 or toll free at (800) 351-8614 and through his website at www.metrowestspineclinic.com.
