NewAge Industries now offers durable brass fittings in two styles, barbed and push-to-connect. April 4, 2007 (FPRC) -- Southampton, PA — Plastic tubing manufacturer NewAge Industries, Inc. now stocks brass fittings in both barbed and push-to-connect styles to work with various plastic and rubber materials. U.S.-made of durable brass, applications include general purpose and industrial use, potable water systems, pneumatic control, robotics, and instrumentation.

The barbed brass fitting, called Thermobarb(R), is designed for use with soft, flexible tubing and reinforced hose such as PVC, polyurethane, silicone, thermoplastic rubber, Viton(R), and Hytrel(R). Thermobarb fittings are heavy duty and long lasting and offer temperature usage from –40°F to 180°F. Sizes range from 1/8” to 1”. Clamps, which are also available from NewAge Industries, should be used for secure attachment.

Newloc(R), NewAge’s brass push-to-connect fitting, works with semi-rigid and rigid tubing materials including nylon, polyethylene, and polypropylene. Newloc fittings are easy to install and disconnect – simply push the tubing into the fitting. For removal, push in the collet on the fitting and pull the tubing out. Newloc fittings handle full vacuum and temperatures from –10°F to 200°F. Sizes stocked range from 1/8” to 1/2”.

Thermobarb and Newloc brass fittings are available in a wide variety of styles including male and female adapters, elbows, T’s and Y’s, connectors, reducers, swivel types, bulkhead options, and more. Both fittings are also offered in plastic materials for other application requirements.
