April 13, 2007 (FPRC) -- IRVINE, CALIF. – Award winning KTGY GROUP, INC., Architecture and Planning, has named three new shareholders. They are Homer C. Oatman, AIA, principal of residential design for the custom homes team; Michael I. Ohara, AIA, principal and director of residential design in the Denver office; and Scott R. Higa, AIA, principal and director of retail design in the Denver office.

KTGY’s CEO Tricia Esser said adding these new shareholders reflect the firm’s commitment to employee ownership and management. “We now have 29 shareholders, continuing the ownership dynamic our founding partners created in 1991 with KTGY’s establishment,” said Esser. “Our goals are management continuity and design/planning quality for our clients; these shareholders each bring unique attributes to that framework.”

Homer C. Oatman, AIA has been associated with KTGY since 2005, and offers the clientele 25 years of contemporary design experience in architectural, development and construction management. Michael I. Ohara, AIA and Scott R. Higa, AIA, NCARB, established KTGY’s Denver, Colo. office in 2006 to expand the firm’s services in the United States.

Prior to joining KTGY, Higa served as a managing principal with a firm in Englewood, Colo. and brings an impressive portfolio of retail experience that encompasses concept design and master planning through construction and final project delivery. His background includes open-air lifestyle centers, suburban shopping centers, power centers and mixed-use developments, as well as high-end retail for urban infill locations. Recent Colorado projects include: Aurora City Place, a 65-acre retail power center; The Prairie Center, a 280-acre retail power center; Lowry Town Center, an urban mixed-use retail and office village; and Larkridge, a 205-acre retail power center. Licensed in eight states, Higa is also credentialed with the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB).

Ohara offers nearly 25 years of professional experience in residential architecture to KTGY clientele, with particular focus on high density multi-family housing projects in Colorado that include: Archstone Riverfront Park Apartments and The Point at Five Points in Denver; Courtyards at Quail Lake in Colorado Springs; and Highlands Ranch Town Center in Highlands Ranch. Prior to joining KTGY, he served nearly a decade as the managing partner for a local firm in Denver.

KTGY GROUP, INC., Architecture and Planning, was created in 1991, with project viability and client satisfaction as abiding priorities, while providing complete planning and architectural design services for residential communities, retail developments and related specialty projects.
