April 28, 2007 (FPRC) -- COLTON, CALIF. - Omni West Group Inc. of Laguna Hills has awarded Hodgdon Miank Construction, Inc. the contract to build Rivera Industrial Park, a new $3.7 million industrial park in north Riverside, Calif. The project is currently under construction and expected to be completed by August 2007.
Located on approximately 2.45 acres on Garner Road, off of Main Street in Riverside, the Rivera Industrial Park consists of eight industrial buildings totaling approximately 50,126 square feet. The finished buildings will range in size from 5,220 square feet to 13,492 square feet with all buildings featuring office/mezzanine and warehouse. Project amenities include 14’H & 16’W grade level roll up doors, 16’ warehouse clearance height, mezzanine office, 400 amps, 277/480 volts, calculated sprinkler system and metal halide warehouse lighting.
The Rivera Industrial Park is ideally located in the heart of Riverside near the 60, 91, and 215 freeways providing excellent freeway accessibility for industrial businesses.
“Aaron Miank and HMC Construction have been instrumental in assisting us with value engineering the project during the design and entitlement phase creating a substantial savings in our project cost,” said Kip P. Dubbs, president and chief executive officer of Omni West Group. “We appreciate HMC Construction’s dedication to maximizing the value of our project through innovative solutions that met our goals and objectives.”
“Small-box industrial buildings are in short supply throughout the Inland Empire, where vacancy rates continue to hover around five percent,” added Dubbs. “For companies that require facilities on a smaller scale, there aren’t a lot of choices right now. Plus, they need the same logistical amenities as big-box users, which make this project particularly attractive. It’s freeway close with proximity to three major freeways, including the 60, I-10 and I-215, so it’s perfectly suited to accommodate smaller operations in the Inland Empire’s growing manufacturing, trucking and warehousing sectors.”
The Ontario office of CB Richard Ellis is handling the marketing and sale of the buildings. Hinson Consulting & Design Architects, Inc. of Corona, Calif. is the project architect.
Colton-based Hodgdon Miank Construction’s team has a combined experience in excess of 75 years in construction and real estate development. The company’s proven expertise from inception to completion in ground up, design build, construction management, tenant improvement and renovation have earned HMC Construction the trust and respect of our clients, subcontractors and peers.
