The Hodgdon Group, a full-service real estate brokerage, development and construction management company based in Colton, has commenced construction on a 75,000-square-foot, state–of-the-art, vocational training center for Summit Career College, Inc. The Hodgdon Group is handling the design, entitlements and construction management of the new $14 million ground-up development located at 851 S. Cooley Drive in Colton, Calif.

April 30, 2007 (FPRC) -- COLTON, CALIF. – The Hodgdon Group, a full-service real estate brokerage, development and construction management company based in Colton, has commenced construction on a 75,000-square-foot, state–of-the-art, vocational training center for Summit Career College, Inc.
The Hodgdon Group is handling the design, entitlements and construction management of the new $14 million ground-up development, which will also include phase two; an additional 40,000-square-foot that will be available for lease. RKZ, Inc. of Tustin, Calif. is the project architect. The project is located at 851 S. Cooley Drive in Colton, Calif.
The three-story building, which is scheduled to open in January 2008, is expected to serve more than 1,200 medical, dental and nursing students. Summit Career College is currently located in Colton, just a block away. Once completed, the new facility will be the primary location for all programs.
“The Hodgdon Group has been instrumental in helping us achieve our goal,” says Eric Rudie, Summit Career College’s Corporate Director of Compliance. “We are anxious to celebrate our grand opening of our new main campus in early 2008 to meet the demand for our superior educational programs.”
Summit has been in Colton for 15 years and has a branch campus in Anaheim. Summit currently offers vocational training programs in the fast growing fields of nursing, dental, business, massage therapy and related medical careers.
The Hodgdon Group is working on a number of projects in the Southern California area. Last year, The Hogdgon Group completed the development and construction of Ashley Furniture HomeStore in Colton and is currently under construction on an Ashley store in Palm Desert.
