Razr Phone vs. iPhone: Battle of the Bling

AllAmericanBling.com says the Motorola Razr Phone should have an advantage over the Apple iPhone in the market place: competition.

June 11, 2007 (FPRC) -- There has been much hype and anticipation, but it is finally happening. Apple is releasing the iPhone. One more piece of bling in the market place.

The iPhone is not a traditional cell phone. It is an integrated multi-media device. It does not have a keypad with numerical buttons like a phone, but a touch screen where you can access all it’s various functions. The iPhone is more than a cell phone with a mp3 player built into it. It can access the internet with pictures and graphics like a computer.

Many users will love the iPhone. Many just want a phone that also plays music. For those, the Motorola Razr Phone is still king bling.

Which device will win out in the market place? The answer of course is: both. There is a place for both. The Razr Phone, however, has a mighty advantage for consumers: competition.

Apple has partnered with AT&T to be the sole wireless carrier for the iPhone. That means consumers will pay the asking price for the iPhone and monthly service as determined by Apple and AT&T. No choice. Some reports have the iPhone going for around $600 plus monthly service.

The Motorola Razr Phone on the other hand, has no exclusive carrier. That means carriers compete with each other for the consumers business. One way that they do so is by offering incredible deals on Razr Phones.

“Our One Cent Razr Phone offers have brought us the most traffic we have had since the Christmas season.” said Jeff Young, spokesman for www.AllAmericanBling.com. “Razr Phone bling is powerful at our site,” Young said, “Consumers want cool phones, but they also want bargains. These Razr Phone offers are a driving force at our site.”

“The Razr Phone should compete quite well with the iPhone. One reason is all the various models that are available, with different features. The Razr v3i Phone for example, has a built in mp3 player with iTunes capability. For many people, this is exactly what they want, a combination cell phone and mp3 player.” Young said. “The cell phone and mp3 player combination has a proven market track record that will likely stay much larger than the iPhone with all it’s additional features, high end interface, and higher price.” said Young. “And at our site, you can find the Razr v3i phone for one cent.”

The iPhone will impress many. Many more will likely be unimpressed or confused by the touch screen interface. Some will wonder why they should pay a higher price for the phone when there are such abundant deals on other cell phones. For those consumers, the Razr Phone may just win the Battle of the Bling.
