June 14, 2007 (FPRC) -- Team Sandtastic, the Florida-based builders of a 15-foot tall, 30-foot long, 200,000-pound sand sculpture of ferocious dinosaurs outside the IMAX 3D Theatre in Myrtle Beach, S.C., will be featured on NBC’s Today show on July 3rd. Today will focus on the Team’s work on the world’s tallest sand castle which was built three weeks after the IMAX 3D sand dinosaur was completed.

Team Sandtastic built the one-of-a-kind dinosaur sculpture at the IMAX 3D Theatre in mid-May 17. It depicts a scene from the IMAX 3D blockbuster film Dinosaurs 3D: Giants Of Patagonia, one of five IMAX 3D films that are playing at the theater now through the summer. It can be viewed online at http://www.imax3dmyrtlebeach.com/whats_new.asp.

As the sand dinosaur was being built, Reader’s Digest announced that Team Sandtastic had made the magazine’s prestigious list of “America’s 100 Best People And Places,” which was published in the magazine’s May issue. The list “celebrates the people, places, foods, big ideas, and hidden gems that make America great.”
