August 17, 2007 (FPRC) -- Island Gourmet Coffee Roasting Company, located in sunny old town Key West, Florida is noted for doing its share supporting the Armed Forces. Joe Wells, co-founder and coffee roaster, said, “ We have noted on more than one occasion, we are not here to discuss political views, yours or ours, about the war we are fighting, but we just wish to show some support to the men and women putting their lives on the line to help keep America a safe place to sleeep at night.”
Wells went on the say, “We started sending fresh roasted gourmet coffee to our troops from a few email we received without anyone knowing about, we where doing it for ourselves, then we started getting more request than we could handle, as we are a small company, so we added a link on our website at www.islandjoesgourmetcoffee.com where our customers could donate as little as $5, then we pool the money and send our troops gourmet coffee. On of our biggest honors, which we accept on behalf of not only the staff at Island Joes, but also on behalf of our customers who have been helping out, are the battle flags we have received. We get goose bumps , as this is an honor.”
