September 6, 2007 (FPRC) -- IRVINE, CALIF. - Award-winning KTGY GROUP, INC., Architecture and Planning, is pleased to announce that two KTGY principals have been invited to speak at the Multi-Housing World 2007 Conference: “Building the Multi-Housing World One Piece at a Time,” at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, Florida; and The Developer Conference: “The Next Great Places: Discover How To Create Compelling Communities,” at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, DC.

On Thursday, September 6, from 3:30 pm - 4:45 pm, KTGY’s principal Ken Ryan will be a speaker at the Multi-Housing World Conference session “Product Trends: Land Planning and Site Development to Foster Strong Initial Impact and Lasting Resident Value,” Ryan will discuss the critical importance of place-making and working with community. He will also provide information and case study examples about how leading solutions must elevate a first and lasting impressionable impact, promote a sense of safety, respond to legislative pressures promoting New Urbanism and Green design, and encourage positive resident interaction—all while employing methods that manage and mitigate the effects of infrastructure.

With over 20 years of experience, Ryan has served as a leader involving complex regeneration planning, large scale master plans, town center evaluation, resort/recreation studies, community participation programs and intergovernmental coordination. Ryan heads up KTGY’s Community Planning and Urban Design Studio providing expertise in master planned communities, urban design, mixed-use/regeneration, resort/recreation, strategic planning and entitlement services.

Also on September 6, from 3:30 pm - 4:45 pm, KTGY’s David Senden, a principal and lead residential designer, will be a speaker at the Multi-Housing World Conference session “Product Trends: Low to Mid Density 10 to 50 Units Per Acre.” Senden will use case studies to demonstrate new product ideas, discuss design challenges, price consequence and market performance resulting from KTGY’s evolutionary ideas and applications.

Senden is responsible for the initial design/planning concept through the design development phase. With more than 10 years of experience, Senden leads a team of designers and planners that work hand in hand with the local jurisdiction, builder and community. Focusing on infill housing, Senden provides the vision for the design of each residence and overall neighborhood.

On Tuesday, September 11, from 3:45 pm - 4:45 pm, Ryan will be a speaker at The Hanley Wood Developer Conference’s session “Urban Frontiers: Making Density Livable.” He will discuss the importance of vision, image and identity, the public realm, connectivity and heritage of place. Ryan will also address the challenge of balancing practical reality and market flexibility of a project without compromising vision.
