Free texts ensure drum championship fans don’t miss a beat
Thousands of people across Europe will get free text messages this weekend updating them on the progress of the European Drum Corps Championships. The organisers have chosen London-based TM4B as their SMS gateway for the second year running.

September 25, 2007 (FPRC) -- Thousands of people across Europe who can’t get to this Saturday’s European Drum Corps Championships in Rotterdam will be kept up-to-date with free text messages to their mobiles.
For the second year running, the Drum Corps Europe has chosen the TM4B SMS Gateway as its text messaging partner.
Anyone can go online to the Drum Corps Europe website and sign up for the free text alerts.
As soon as scores of the championship’s preliminary and final rounds are received, they will be texted out.
The Drum Corps Europe’s Marco Janssen said: “Sending so many texts to drum corps fans across Europe requires a reliable system, and we definitely found it with TM4B.
“We can’t afford to have text messages waiting to be delivered. They need to reach peoples’ mobiles as soon as the results are announced.”
He added: “We know TM4B will deliver, because they did an amazing job last year.”
It’s expected the service will also be used by people who visit the event but won’t be in the stadium all the time, and corps members who are practicing outside of the stadium.
TM4B’s network coverage extends to more than 150 countries across the world.
For the championships, all networks in the UK, Ireland, The Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France, Sweden and Italy are supported.
