Ducommun Aerostructures Inaugurates Mexican Production Facility
Ducommun Incorporated has initiated the manufacture of aerospace parts and components in Mexico under The Offshore Group's Shelter Program.

October 9, 2007 (FPRC) -- The Grand Opening celebration to mark the inauguration of Los Angeles, Califorinia-based Ducommun’s new Mexico manufacturing facility will take place today at The Offshore Group's Roca Fuerte industrial park.
The facility is located in Guaymas, Sonora, approximately five hours south of San Diego on the eastern shore of the Gulf of California.
Ducommun Incorporated’s (NYSE:DCO) newly established plant will produce aerospace components and subassemblies for commercial aircraft. DAS is developing the site, within The Offshore Group’s industrial park, to accommodate the future expansion of the facility as required to meet the needs of the global marketplace.
Joseph C. Berenato, chairman and chief executive officer of Ducommun, stated, “We are pleased to begin the operations of Ducommun Aerospace (Mexico) Ltd. The new production facility will allow DAS to increase its productivity and competitiveness which will enable DAS to seek new business in the highly competitive global aerostrucures marketplace”.
Founded in 1849, Ducommun Incorporated provides engineering and manufacturing services for the aerospace and defense industry. It manufactures large, complex structural components and assemblies in aluminum, specialty alloys such as titanium, metal bond and composites for a wide variety of military and services for the aerospace and the defence industry.
The Offshore Group has enabled manufacturers to initiate and maintain production facilities in Mexico since 1986, and is the single largest provider of "outsourced manufacturing support," or "shelter" services. Its 57 manufacturing firm client's employ 17,000+ employees in its 3 industrial parks.
