October 10, 2007 (FPRC) -- Political candidates, advertising firms, television executives and networks, are scrambling for a way to connect with the growing influence of Latino culture. If many of them looked hard enough they would find a large and growing influence of Hip-Hop on young Latino American lives.

La Revolúcion Es La Música is a documentary film that shows the influence of Hip-Hop on the next generation of Latino Americans. Fans and artist alike are gaining a voice with this new genre of music.

With the rapid Latino population growth on the West Coast, Hip-Hop was bound to find a new groove. Using familiar sounds like Ranchero or cumbia music, young Latino-Americans have embraced Hip-Hop so they can be heard in their own voice, using a unique language that speaks to the millions of Latinos in the West Coast who are sharing a common experience.

Many of the artists interviewed give positive advice for young Latino Americans who find themselves struggling with the idea of joining gangs and trying to find a place in society. The film shows their everyday lives, the struggles they go through, and how Hip-Hop has given them an outlet to speak out and represent their growing culture.

The film has already gained attention in publications such as RealTalk LA with a featured article entitled, "Delivering Messages Through Hip-Hop", as well as over the Internet amongst the many fans of the featured artist.

Some of the artist and DJs featured include: Psycho Realm, DJ Mugs, 2Mex, Big Latin, MC Magic, Down, Coolio, La Verdad, Fidel Rodriguez of Divine Forces Radio, Tha Sire, Shystie from the Latin Rap Conference, Diamonique, DJ Ray, Kiki Smooth, Lil G, and many more.
