KTGY Gives More than 1,200 Books to New Elementary School in Madera, Calif. to Fill Empty Library Shelves
Award winning KTGY GROUP, INC., Architecture and Planning donated more than 1,200 books to the newly opened John J. Pershing Elementary School in Madera, Calif. The school, which was built to reduce overcrowding at two other area elementary schools, opened in August 2007 with an empty library. KTGY’s generous donation helped to fill Pershing’s school library. This is just one of many community service projects that KTGY has recently participated in including Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, HomeAid OC and CHOC/Disneyland Resort Walk to name just a few.

October 10, 2007 (FPRC) -- IRVINE, CALIF. - Award winning KTGY GROUP, INC., Architecture and Planning announced today that it has donated more than 1,200 books to the newly opened John J. Pershing Elementary School in Madera, Calif. The school, which was built to reduce overcrowding at two other area elementary schools, opened in August 2007 with an empty library. KTGY’s generous donation helped to fill Pershing’s school library.
"We received over 100 letters from the children and teachers at Pershing letting us know how much they appreciated the books,” stated KTGY’s CEO Tricia Esser. “We are very proud that we are able to make a difference in the lives of children at Pershing Elementary. It is our hope that they will become avid readers.”
KTGY’s Northern California Planning Project Manager, Carrie Mayhew, coordinated the book drive. “It is very gratifying to reach out to the community and the students of Pershing Elementary and affect the lives of these children forever.”
