October 24, 2007 (FPRC) -- It's 1987 and John Kelly is a 17 year old photography student who hero worships his Uncle Bob. The story begins with the arrest of John and his friends in north Wales, and goes on to document the series of events that lead to the arrest and the sinister revelations that come to light afterwards. And then the nightmares begin, nightmares which encourage him to address his hedonistic lifestyle. However, it's only when he meets Diana, a student nurse who introduces him to Hilda Duckett, an old lady with a secret and tragic past, that John finally discovers the meaning of selflessness. The story jumps to modern day and life is good, until a dark family secret is revealed about the past, a secret linked to the tragedy of Hilda Duckett and John's nightmares.

About the Author: E. L. Clark was born in 1970, lives on the Wirral, and is currently working on a new novel.

Excerpt from the book: “There was no warning, no sirens, no flashing lights, just what seemed to be the four walls caving in as the door was kicked from its hinges, then silence. The silence lasted about two seconds then chaos followed. Heavy feet landed and bodies bumped into the contents of the small caravan. Items broke as they fell to the floor and an irritated Welsh voice hissed ‘turn that fucking torch on’. My heart felt like it was trying to punch through my ribs, pounding like the bass box of a passing boy-racer’s customized car.”
