October 26, 2007 (FPRC) -- Since the 1950's, when Barney Tomlinson first envisioned a special kind of flavored gourmet popcorn, we have endeavored to produce the best tasting flavored popcorn you can buy. Using flavor recipes Barney developed with much trial and error over some 30 years, the Walla Walla Squareball Stickyless Popcorn Co. was born. The company made the finest flavored gourmet popcorn for over 25 years in the humble little popcorn shop on 9th street in Walla Walla, WA. Walk-up and drive-through customers were served daily. People came from miles away just to buy a bag or two ( or more ) of the delicious "stickyless", flavored popcorn .
Larry and Marilyn Anderson purchased the company and, armed with the secret recipes and techniques, began making the gourmet popcorn in Pendleton, OR. The name was changed to Pendleton Popcorn Factory and a few new flavors were added as Marilyn began experimenting with some of her ideas for flavored popcorn. The new flavors include Huckleberry, Honey Almond, and German Chocolate, just to name a few. After the move to Pendleton, Pendleton Popcorn Factory began offering flavored popcorn on the world wide web. The response has been fantastic. Pendleton Popcorn Factory now has customers from all 50 states and ship flavored popcorn several times a week.
Pendleton Popcorn uses the finest popcorn from the heart of popcorn country, Phillips NE. and make each batch by hand. The colors are vibrant and the flavors are bold. Each batch is made by hand and individually packaged for freshness.
