October 27, 2007 (FPRC) -- HotelShark.com, the world's most-trusted Internet lodging guide, has launched a revamped version of its website featuring a new search function and timelier reviews.
The launch marks the first major redesign of HotelShark.com since it was first introduced in March of 2001.
HotelShark.com's new search feature makes finding peer-recommended hotels easier. Travelers can now type in the name of the city to which they're traveling, and be presented with a list of hotels in that city. Previously, Hotelshark.com's architecture was based on directory navigation.
HotelShark.com has also made its reviews more timely. Reviews will now be automatically removed from the site once they turn two years old. Most reviews now appearing on HotelShark.com are from 2007.
One thing that has not changed is the site's commitment to accuracy. Last June, the Wall Street Journal reported that Hotelshark.com "screens reviews and only accepts ones it finds sincere." HotelShark.com expects to continue rejecting over half of all submitted contributions for being incomplete or suspect. To protect the effectiveness of its editorial process, details of HotelShark.com's screening methods are kept confidential.
