November 4, 2007 (FPRC) -- Atlanta, GA - Plan It For Me! today announces its strategic partnership with Debt at the Altar. Debt at the Altar is an audio product created by Dr. Taffy Wagner to help engaged and married couples learn about the way they view and handle money. Dr. Wagner writes, “Debt is the #1 cause for divorce”. “Debt at the Altar” is a five part audio series, guiding couples through counseling and taking a very frank look at their finances and their relationship with money.

Faith Walker, Owner of Plan It For Me! Weddings believes finances are of crucial importance in planning a wedding and even more important is the newlywed couple’s ability to have enough money to live off after they have returned from their honeymoon. “I always tell my brides, you have to be able to eat the day after your wedding. Most brides get a chuckle out of my comment, but it is so important to me they not max out their credit cards to create their dream weddings. I know how crazy that sounds since I’m in the business of making money, but there is nothing sadder than a couple that incurs so much debt they can’t see beyond the mountain of bills, and end up divorcing over something that could have been averted from the beginning. I believe the job of a great wedding planner is to provide counsel to the couple regarding their budget very early in wedding planning process. Budget design is the first step in my wedding planning process. It is key because many brides develop sticker shock when they see how much things actually cost and how quickly the overall event adds up. I believe by utilizing the ‘Debt at the Altar’ series along with my budget design, we can successfully address money concerns as they arise without relying on plastic or taking out loans to pay for a one day. Your wedding lasts one day – debt can last a lifetime!”

It has been the goal of Plan It For Me! to provide financial counseling as a part of its repertoire and finding the right company with which to partner has been a challenge. Debt at the Altar provides solid advice and resources to help couples learn to relate to themselves as well as their debt, thus creating harmony within their new households.
