November 15, 2007 (Austin, TX) – United Way Capital Area knows that giving back to the community can be intoxicating.
But so are iPhones.
So as part of its inaugural “Online Fall Fundraising Drive,” United Way Capital Area is combining the two. Anyone who invests in Central Texas by donating to United Way is automatically entered to win an 8GB iPhone.
The Fall Fundraising Drive runs from November 14 to midnight, November 30. Of all the online donors during that time, one person will win the iPhone, which is simply the hottest technological gadget in the world.
To make your donation and enter the drawing, simply visit www.UnitedWayCapitalArea.org.
All donations during the Fall Fundraising Drive will be directly invested into the local community, helping support programs and services that focus on health, education, and financial stability.
The iPhone is being generously donated by McElroy Translation.
About United Way Capital Area
United Way Capital Area (UWCA) is focused on narrowing the opportunity gap in Central Texas between those who are getting ahead and those who are falling behind. By engaging our community around critical social issues—and helping individuals and companies lend their talent, time, and treasure—United Way Capital Area aims to help make lasting change. The community has identified three areas it believes UWCA should address in order to make long-term change: Education, Financial Stability, and Individual and Community Health. UWCA maintains several programs critical to our community’s success: Hands On Central Texas (the volunteer center), 2-1-1 (the free phone line for information and referral for social services), and Success By 6 (which brings together more than 80 organizations to improve the lives of young children in our community.
