November 25, 2007 (FPRC) -- The ice attachment fits on to the base of the walking stick shaft and over the ferrule to turn the base into a spiked metal ring to grip on the ice.
The ice attachment is designed to fit on to any walking stick and extras include two longer screws to fit around sticks with wider shafts. There is also a handy mechanism to flip the attachment up and out of the way when not needed without having to unscrew it.
Walking Sticks Online has been trading online for just two years and has already built up a large customer base with customers returning time and time again. The range includes over 200 different sticks and some very handy accessories.
Their customers are mostly older people, but are as varied as theatre production companies, interior designers, schools and privately run classes.
The ice attachment is a seasonal product, but the walking canes are sold all year round. Hiking poles, folding sticks and shooting sticks are sold mainly in the summer for holidays and outdoor living. While the novelty canes and dressier sticks like the silver plated ones, are popular for Christmas.
