November 27, 2007 (FPRC) -- Bucharest (Romania) – AXIGEN (http://www.axigen.com), the professional messaging solution vendor, announced today it has closed more than 100 commercial partnerships worldwide. Throughout 2007, the company doubled its distribution channel, significantly increasing its geographical coverage.

“We started with almost 50 partners in 2007 and we managed to reach 107 distributors from countries all around the world. We expect to reach 120 partners by the end of the year and we plan to increase our distribution network by at least 50% in 2008,” said Mihai Anghel, AXIGEN Sales Manager.

The most powerful growth was reported for the CEMEA region (Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa), followed by Western Europe, Asia and the two American continents. “In 2007, we focused on expanding our distribution channel in areas such as the Middle East and Asia, and on consolidating our already strong network from the USA, Canada, Europe and Romania as well,” explained Mihai Anghel.

To support these expansion objectives, AXIGEN took part in a series of events and seminars organized in October in the Netherlands, Belgium and Dennmark. These events were mainly targeted at promoting Romanian IT companies through European innitiatives such as FP7 Networking Event and eChallanges e-2007 World Forum.

“For 2008, we plan to organize road-shows on several continents, targeting key areas for the AXIGEN business development, such as the US and Canada, Western Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa. We also intend to launch a series of special partnership programs next year, specifically designed for the Romanian and Moldavian markets”, concluded Mihai Anghel.

AXIGEN’s WebMail interface is available in more than 20 languages, the Romanian company also offering localized sites for 12 countries. Now at version 5.0, the AXIGEN Mail Server runs on several Linux and BSD distributions, on Solaris, on PowerPC and on SPARC architectures and signed technology partnerships with Sun Microsystems, RedHat, IBM and Avira.
