Jones Public Affairs Announces New Senior Account Executive
Washington, D.C.-based public affairs agency broadens area of expertise with new member of account team.

December 26, 2007 (FPRC) -- WASHINGTON—Jones Public Affairs, Inc., announced today the appointment of Heather Huhman as Senior Account Executive. Huhman will develop and implement public relations and advocacy initiatives for several nonprofit and industry clients.
“Heather shows great passion for both advocacy and policy, with a strong interest in the sciences and healthcare,” said Carrie Jones, principal and managing director of Jones Public Affairs. “She is a talented communicator with media relations and advocacy expertise; we’re very pleased to have her on our team."
Prior to Jones Public Affairs, Huhman worked for Burson-Marsteller in the Issues & Advocacy Practice. There she handled media relations and developed strategic communications plans for numerous nonprofit and association clients.
Huhman spent most of her early career at Van Eperen Public Relations, a boutique firm in Montgomery County, Md. There she led media outreach, public awareness campaigns, corporate event planning and community relations efforts for the firm’s clients, including several nonprofits, associations and educational institutions. She also briefly served as Regional Public Affairs Coordinator for the Muscular Dystrophy Association where she built a public awareness campaign to promote the Jerry Lewis Telethon and other events.
Huhman graduated from the University of Missouri with a B.A. in Communication with honors.
