The Largest Angel Investment Organization In US Elects A New President.

Tech Coast Angles (TCA), an angel investment organization with over 140 portfolio companies and $90 mil. of direct investments which has been followed by close to $900 mil. by Venture Capital firms, elects Sid Mohasseb as its President in Orange County, California

January 16, 2008 (FPRC) -- Venture Farm, an early stage execution and funding firm, announces the election of Sid Mohasseb, its managing partner, as the President of Tech Coast Angels in Orange County.

“It is an honor and a privilege to be elected as the president of an organization that has a proven track record of assisting the entrepreneurs in Southern California”. Said Mr. Mohasseb. “TCA offers the critical early stage capital that budding entrepreneurs need to realize their dreams and offers the experitise and support of over 300 members in order to improve their chances of success. The formula is simple, find good people and good ideas, provide them with the funding and expertise they need to succeed, and as investors, join the founders on the upside. ” he continued.

As newly elected president, Mr. Mohasseb, aims to focus on four key initiatives 1) increased outreach to dedicated entrepreneurs with a good idea, 2) facilitating growth of each and every portfolio company, 3) Facilitating further capitalization of the portfolio companies as they mature, and 4) building relationships with Southern California corporate players to identify win / win strategic relationships between them and TCA portfolio companies.

As a recognized and active business leader Mohasseb, brings more than 25 years of management and investment experience to TCA. Following a background in management consulting and corporate leadership, Sid has most recently focused on actively investing in early stage companies. He is the managing director of Venture Farm, an early stage execution and funding company. And serves on a number of advisory boards and boards of directors, Including: Clupedia, WiseWindow, XSCapacity, TrendPoint Systems, Accuscore, Cerius Consulting Group, LetLifeIn, the Southern California Technology Council, Paul Merage School of Business (UCI), and Emerging Domestic Markets Committee for State of California. He is also teaching globalization at University of California Irvine, is an executive committee member of TiE, and serves on the Phase II evaluation committee for the National Science Foundation (NSF).
