Pasadena, CA -- HRCrossing has long helped job seekers with their job search needs, and now our site can also help its members with their taxes! HRCrossing would like to let members know that they may qualify to write off any job-seeking fees; this includes membership fees to HRCrossing.

According to the 2006 Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Publication 529 regarding job-search expenses, "You can deduct certain expenses you have in looking for a job in your present occupation, even if you do not get a new job."
The deductible expenses vary and on further research include a variety of things such as employment and outplacement agency fees, money spent on putting together and mailing copies of a resume to prospective employers, and job-seeking transportation and travel costs.
