Anchor Van Centre Win Major National Award for Excellence in Light Commercial Vehicle Retailing
In a national competition Anchor Van Centre has been awarded the "Van Dealer of the Year Award" for their high standards in new and used van sales and in recognition of the huge commitment to Light Commercial Vehicle Retailing.

February 8, 2008 (FPRC) -- Padworth, UK, Anchor Van Centre – have been awarded the industries top award at the annual Motor Trader Awards Dinner at the Grosvenor, Park Lane on Wednesday. In a national competition they have been awarded the "Van Dealer of the Year Award" for their high standards and in recognition of the huge commitment to Light Commercial Vehicle Retailing with their new 500 van, 3 acre site on the A4 at Padworth ,Reading.
Managing Director and owner of this family company, Mr Graham Joyce, said "We are thrilled to win this award. We have been in Reading 17 years and have always tried to give the same high standard of service as BMW, for whom I was a Dealer Principal 20 years ago. It is also a pleasure to be judged and recognised by people in your own industry who are truly independent and can see the bigger picture nationally. I feel we are now on the map - we are already a major landmark with over 300 vans on the A4 at Padworth but construction of our new 12 bay workshop starts next month and she will be a beauty. We expect to completely relocate from our old workshop in spring of 2008 when we increase our stock to 500 vans. Businesses in the Reading / Newbury area will have the best van dealer in the country on their doorstep.”
Anchor Van Centre is a family run company which specialises in the sale of new and used vans. Simon Joyce, Sales Director, puts the award down to the company’s determination to be the best and the judges were particularly praiseworthy of the company’s website where there are over 1500 pictures of every van that is in stock. Simon said, "Our website at www.anchorvans.co.uk was singled out for praise because it is so easy to use and you can see every van from every angle. It is a bench mark for the industry and it’s my team’s job to make sure it’s always fully stocked and up to date.”
