Pasadena, CA, February 14, 2008 -- EmploymentCrossing, the main hub for more than 30 industry-specific job-search websites, has grown into an astoundingly rich and reliable collection of almost a million jobs over the past year.

The site’s concept sprouted up after the success of its predecessor, LawCrossing, which was designed to cater to the job-seeking needs of lawyers, legal staff, and law students. With the launch of EmploymentCrossing last year, a series of industry-specific and niche job boards modeled after LawCrossing was created. Today, each site under EmploymentCrossing has grown exceptionally, with some Crossing sites listing more than 100,000 jobs each.

These sites, which serve the needs of healthcare, sales, engineering, HR, and finance professionals, to mention a few, are also on track to expand even further in the coming months. The insurance, science, and real estate industries are just a few examples of career fields EmploymentCrossing plans on venturing into next.

“We are very pleased with the enormous strides that EmploymentCrossing has made in the past year. Our targeted approach to job seeking is something unique that can only benefit today’s professionals. Why drudge through an assortment of jobs that you don’t need? EmploymentCrossing breaks down our collection of almost a million jobs by industry, putting job seekers in the driver’s seat,” said CEO A. Harrison Barnes.

In addition to providing an extensive range of job listings including exclusive notices not posted on other employment sites, EmploymentCrossing provides access to an array of features and profiles, including in-depth articles and analyses on the people, companies, and stories affecting numerous industries and job markets.

EmploymentCrossing charges its users a monthly fee of $29.95 to access its job listings. This fee pays for its team of researchers, programmers, and other staff members who hunt down and post every single job they can on a daily basis. It also allows members to gain access to the 30-plus industry-specific Crossing job boards. A list of the entire collection of Crossing websites can be viewed at EmploymentCrossing. A free, seven-day trial of the service is also available.

Students are able to access EmploymentCrossing’s supply of jobs for free while they are in school. This means that students can get a heads-up on all relevant internships and jobs as they near graduation without spending a dime on the service.
