February 18, 2008 (FPRC) -- Jasper National Park Journal, a travel website by DH Wall, uses an antique postcard picture folder to explore the history of Alberta, Canada's Jasper National Park. The antique postcard depicts 22 Jasper National Park scenes. A new series of articles uses the postcard to explore the differences between the Jasper National Park of the 1940s and today's park.

The postcard scenes shown include the Athabaska Glacier and various mountains, lakes and animals and show how park facilities used to look. The animals of Jasper National Park represented are big horn sheep, a mule deer, a mountain goat, and a black bear.

The author of Jasper National Park Journal, DH Wall, is an independent travel enthusiast whose education includes a Bachelor's Degree in History. "This antique postcard folder represents a slice of time through which to help tell the unique Jasper National Park story," says Wall.

No stranger to telling the park's story, DH Wall was 1 of the top 4 finalists within the traveler category of Best Story Telling in the Canadian Tourism Commission’s 2007 Canadian E-Tourism Awards for his efforts with Jasper Journal where he has been telling the Jasper National Park story since December 2006.

The first two articles in the 1940 Jasper National Park postcard series have been released on the Jasper National Park Journal website: http://www.jasperjournal.com

Additional articles in the series will be added regularly.

JasperJournal.com is dedicated to celebrating Jasper National Park and is written for travelers.
