Former Blue Catfish World Record Holder Guides Fishing Trips
Former Blue Catfish World Record Holder and catfish tournament pro, Cody Mullennix, is helping others catch big catfish with his new guide service.

February 18, 2008 (FPRC) -- Former Blue Catfish World Record Holder and catfish tournament pro, Cody Mullennix, is focusing his attention on helping clients catch big catfish with his new guide service. “Cody has been catfishing for many years and has a lot to offer,” says Jeff Williams, founder of Team Catfish products. “He has really put in a lot of quality time learning all the lakes where he guides. He took me fishing one day in December of 2007 and guided me to 8 blues between 25 and 40-lbs! Cody is also a great people person which makes him an excellent teacher and lets anglers feel right at home in the boat with him.”
Cody caught the World record for a Blue Catfish on Jan 16, 2004, in Lake Texoma. The monster catfish tipped the scales at 121.8 lbs and was held in the Texas Freshwater Aquarium for many years until its death. The massive blue catfish was one of the top attractions at the aquarium while it was there.
Cody Guides out of a 23-ft. Ocean Pro center console Falcon. “The boat is equipped with all the tackle clients need to battle the big cats on a guide trip” says Cody. He also adds, “I am a year-round catfish guide service, and some of the best blue catfishing is in the winter. My boat can easily handle 5 clients at a time, and I really enjoy taking family groups out catfishing. From the beginner to the avid angler, I will try hard to get you hooked up on a large blue cat.”
