Origin Digital Strengthens Organization with Key Executive Appointments in Operations and Sales

February 20, 2008 (FPRC) -- Origin Digital, a global video applications service provider, today announced that it has strengthened its organization by promoting and adding several senior executives. In addition to his existing role as Chief Financial Officer, Erik Perkins will now serve as the President of the company. Additionally, Chris Lemire has been promoted to Corporate Executive Vice President, focused on Operations, and Charlie Mitchell joins Origin Digital as the Senior Executive of Sales. The expansion of the executive team will enable Origin Digital to address the strong demand for organization’s services.
“Origin Digital is entering a period of exceptional growth and opportunity,” said Darcy Lorincz, CEO, Origin Digital. “With the expansion of the executive team, we are taking the necessary steps to support our existing customers and partners, attract new ones, and provide additional tools to streamline the delivery and management of video and digital content.”
In his new role, Mr. Perkins will be responsible for all facets of Origin Digital’s daily operations including expanded oversight of sales, operations, and product executive leadership. Prior to co-founding Origin Digital with Lorincz, Mr. Perkins served as the Chief Financial and Operating Officer of Image One Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Danka Office Imaging Company.
Formerly Senior Vice President of Network and Technical Operations for Origin Digital, Mr. Lemire will be instrumental in his new role as Executive Vice President with expanded oversight to include client services, technical services, network administration, and software development. Prior to Origin Digital, Mr. Lemire was Director of Technology for the Local Programming Group of Time Warner Cable and was responsible for specification, design, and operational processes for all media technology located at the Time Warner Cable owned and operated Local Programming Channels.
With over 20 years of experience with technology sales in the film, video and digital media industries, Mr. Mitchell joins Origin Digital as Senior Vice President of Sales. He previously worked as Managing Director at StreamSign Media, and will serve as the catalyst to expand the company’s business development and sales initiatives in 2008.
