March 6, 2008 (FPRC) -- Valuations, LLC a company founded to provide web based mergers and acquisitions advisory services, today announced a new website to provide a complete source of information to business owners considering the sale of small to mid-sized businesses. The new website at http://www.guidetosellingabusiness.com includes a 150 page guide that covers every aspect of selling a business.

The website gives step by step instructions on how to sell a business, with or without a business broker, including preparing your business for sale, hiring a business broker, valuing the business, finding prospective buyers, presenting the business for sale, screening and evaluating buyers, structuring a deal, financing a deal, and negotiating the deal. The site also covers tax and legal issues. Less procedural topics, such as deciding when to sell, understanding what buyers are looking for in a business, and evaluating a prospects background are also discussed in depth.

In addition to providing guidance on selling a business the site provides interactive tools and downloadable spreadsheets to value your business, present your business for sale, and find a business broker to represent you.

“This is the first time that a guide to selling a business that is this complete has appeared on the Internet,” said David Annis, President of Valuations, LLC. “We cover topics that others avoid, such as typical business broker commission structures,” he continued.

While the site is now live, it will continue to be enhanced and expanded. A book, based on the site is also planned and will be available by May 2008.

The website was written by experienced business brokers who have over 25 years combined experience as intermediaries. This site is the second in a series of websites being developed to provide information and service related to mergers and acquisitions. The first site, http://freevaluationsonline.com has been live for six weeks and has met with great success. Two more sites are planned by the end of April.

About Valuations LLC: Valuations LLC was founded in 2007 by a group of business brokers to provide low cost web based mergers and acquisitions advisory services. They have offices in Okemos, MI and Providence RI.
