I Can’t Believe The Church Stole My Money…

I never saw it coming. The usually honest, sincere and faithful church scammed me!

March 6, 2008 (FPRC) --
I gave them $8,500.00 because I felt bad if they had to take out a high interest loan. I felt like a saint after my good deed. Of course I expected it back with absolutely no interest because I am a faithful catholic. O boy was I in for a surprise.

I’d say what church this was, but that would probably be unethical. Isn’t it unethical though, what they did to me? I have been attending church for 25 years. I have my beliefs and have always been a good person.

These days, people tend to forget about religion and go on their lives without it. The effect of this is that people don’t attend church as much as they used to. The church needs money to survive. My church was having these problems. They needed a restoration because the old building was falling apart and needed to be shaped up a bit.

The total cost reached over $80,000.00. The church was a little short and needed more help. The fund raising events weren’t cutting it and they had to turn somewhere else or they would be shut down. I practically heard my calling and offered some help.

This helping hand turned into an $8,500.00 loan that I was supposed to get back in 6 months. I bragged about my contribution and felt good about myself. 3 weeks later I hear the church is shutting down and the building would be taken down eventually. I called the church officials asking for my loan money to be paid back to me since the restoration never took place.

No one ever answered the phone and I found out that most of them retired and could not be reached. I contacted a lawyer and said I would get the money back, but to this day the church officials cannot be found! It has been 4 years and I haven’t seen a penny. The church practically stole my money!

My advice to you is that people are greedy no matter who they are apparently. I am slowly starting to get some of that money back though, fortunately. I found this interesting blog that helped me out quite a bit. Here it is: http://legitonlinejobreview.blogspot.com/2008/03/legit-online-jobs-review.html
