The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) has recognized KTGY as a finalist for four NAHB Multifamily Pillars of the Industry Awards for four of its California projects: College Vista in San Mateo, Dorado Senior Apartments in Buena Park, Vantage of Palo Alto (Plan 2) in the City of Palo Alto and “The Club” at Central Park West in Irvine. The Pillars, which are regarded as the multi-family housing industry’s most prestigious awards, honor superior achievement in apartment and condominium development, design, marketing and management, and are considered a showcase of future trends.

Winners will be announced at a gala ceremony held in conjunction with NAHB Multifamily Pillars of the Industry Conference, April 2, 2008, at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colo.
College Vista in San Mateo, Calif., a 44-unit apartment community targeting San Mateo’s community college faculty, is a finalist in the category of Best Affordable Apartment Community (40 percent of the units must be affordable to people earning 60 percent or less of area median income). The developer is Thompson Dorfman Partners of Mill Valley, Calif. College Vista is the recipient of many accolades including the Grand Award in the 2007 Gold Nugget Awards competition in the category of Best Affordable Project - Under 30 DU/AC.
The 150-unit Dorado Senior Apartments in Buena Park, Calif. is also a finalist in the category of Best Affordable Apartment Community. The developer is Simpson Housing Solutions LLC of Los Angeles, Calif. Dorado Senior Apartments has garnered numerous awards including a silver at NAHB’s Best of 50+ Housing Awards in the category of Overall Community, Affordable Rental Apartments and Project of the Year in the 2007 SAGE Awards.
Vantage of Palo Alto (Plan 2) in the City of Palo Alto, Calif. is a finalist in the Best Garden/Small Scale Condo Community category. Warmington Homes of Costa Mesa, Calif. is the project’s builder. The 76-unit eco-friendly condominium floor plans range in size from 1,195 to 1,605 square feet.
“The Club” at Central Park West in Irvine, Calif. is a finalist in the Best Clubhouse at a Multifamily Community category. Developer is Lennar Urban of Aliso Viejo, Calif. Designed as a contemporary clubhouse facility serving the Central Park West community and the City of Irvine, “The Club” is a magnificent 8,019-square-foot private retreat with about 2,500 square feet of covered patios. Lavish amenities of this “Zen-styled” environment includes a multi-purpose room, kitchen, loggia bar, fitness facilities, yoga, spa, locker rooms as well as a 3,000 square feet resort-style pool.
