March 22, 2008 (FPRC) -- North Highlands, CA – Nationally recognized tax attorney Roni Deutch relieved the stress of collection activity for a group a clients owing the IRS over $2.3 million through placement on Currently Not Collectible (CNC) status.

“IRS collection activities can ruin a person’s life,” claims Roni Deutch. “Some of the people who contact my law firm have no hope left. These taxpayers can lose everything they have because of the relentless collection of the IRS.”

In February 2007, Ms. Deutch and her law firm, Roni Lynn Deutch, A Professional Tax Corporation represented a group of clients owing in aggregate over $2.3 million to the IRS and helped the clients get placed on the IRS’ CNC status. The individual clients owed on average approximately $35,823.00 each, and were able to stop all IRS collection activities by having their accounts placed on the IRS’ CNC status. Please see the attached chart for more information.

One of the law firm’s clients, Mr. Gerald Samaroo, battled the IRS for nearly a decade before contacting the law firm for IRS tax debt assistance. “I was as the controller for a company that went belly up,” notes Mr. Samaroo. “The president of the company was the one who made all the financial decisions, but when I told this to the IRS they did not listen. They sent me a letter claiming a penalty on me for the company’s tax problems. I tried to work with the IRS but every time I sent something to the IRS it was returned without a letter or any acknowledgement. It was frustrating, so I stopped trying to work with them.”

Over the years, penalties and interest increased Mr. Samaroo’s total IRS tax debt to over $450,000.00. “And the IRS was relentless in their collection activities,” stated Mr. Samaroo. “They sent countless letters to my home, even though I was not personally responsible. They filed a levy on my bank accounts and took every single penny I had, leaving me flat broke.”

“After over a year of harassment from the IRS I couldn’t take any more. I was over-stressed and depressed and in June of 2001 it all became too much and I suffered a severe stroke,” added Samaroo. “When I suffered the stroke I lost my job, my car, everything. I was talking to lots of tax advisors and one of them mentioned Roni Lynn Deutch. So I contacted an intake director and asked for some much needed help.”

Mr. Samaroo and his wife found the help they needed when they hired the law firm to negotiate Currently Not Collectible status. CNC status is a designation the IRS uses to indicate that it cannot collect from a particular taxpayer at that time. To qualify for the designation, the cost of a taxpayer’s monthly expenses must exceed his or her income. Once the IRS places a taxpayer’s account into Currently Not Collectible status, the IRS immediately ceases all collection activity against the taxpayer.

“I had total assistance and full support from all they people I spoke with at the law firm. Everyone was so nice and helpful, and they were able to stop the IRS collection activities within a few months. I cannot explain what a relief it has been,” stated Mr. Samaroo.

Getting placed on the IRS’ CNC status is only one of the various services that Roni Lynn Deutch, A Professional Tax Corporation offers. The firm has experienced tax lawyers specializing in tax debt relief through a variety of tax relief services including: offer in compromise, installment agreement, wage garnishment release, bank levy release, revenue officer assistance, payroll tax representation, tax account review, and full pay service.
