Award Winning Author Chris Lin will be in Chicago For the Chinese East Meets West Chinese Adoption Conference

March 26, 2008 (FPRC) -- AnnArbor, MI – Chris Lin, author of the iParenting Award winning Mandy and Pandy “Ni Hao Ma?”launched the second book in the Mandy and Pandy series entitled Mandy and Pandy Play “Let's Count”. Lin will be in the Chicago area for the East Meets West Chinese Adoption Conference April 19th. Mandy and Pandy is an exciting series of twelve educational children’s books, teaching parents and their children to speak Chinese. Chris will be doing several book signings in the area and will be on the ABC7 local station Friday, April 18th.
“Chris says he sees the importance of learning Chinese and with the Olympic Games being hosted in China, now more than ever we all have a reason to learn even a little bit of Chinese. I want to give back to help the orphanage community in China and bring as much happiness to the children left behind as possible so I am glad to give ten percent of Mandy and Pandy sales to the An Qing Welfare Institute”.
The second book in the series, Mandy and Pandy Play “Let’s Count”, features Mandy and Pandy playing a counting game as they adventure through their neighborhood. Colorful and exciting illustrations make the travel enjoyable and educational while Mandy and Pandy learn to count from one through ten in Chinese. The book also features a captivating counting song to help children retain the numbers they have learned. Also included in this wonderful book is a number chart including Chinese characters and pin yin phonetics that help in correct pronunciation.
