NAFA Announces Judges for Green Fleet Awards
NAFA Fleet Management Association has announced the panel of judges for its first-ever Green Fleet Awards. The panel consists of Gerry Koss, Sean Kilcarr, Karen Healey, Douglas Weichman, Bret Watson, and Alex Barton.

April 1, 2008 (FPRC) -- NAFA Fleet Management Association (NAFA) is pleased to announce the panel of judges for its first-ever Green Fleet Awards. The distinguished group was hand-picked to represent a diverse range of professionals in the fleet community. Judges include representatives from automotive manufacturers; fleet service providers; automotive publishers; and car, truck and equipment fleet managers.
The list of prestigious judges is:
• Gerry Koss, Ford’s Fleet Marketing Manager, Ford Motor Company
• Sean Kilcarr, Senior Editor, FleetOwner Magazine
• Karen Healey, Director Product Management, PHH Arval
• Douglas Weichman, CAFM, Director of Fleet Management, Palm Beach County
• Bret Watson, CAFM, Fleet Manager, Sprint/Nextel
• Alex Barton, CEO/Founder, Green Transportation Solutions
“We are extremely honored and pleased to have such an esteemed panel of professionals judge the nominations and select winners this year,” said Phillip E. Russo, CAE, NAFA’s Executive Director. “Each judge is highly-regarded in the fleet community and, more importantly, is among the leaders in the fleet industry’s green movement.”
NAFA’s Green Fleet Awards honor individuals who have implemented pioneering, innovative and creative programs to help with their employer’s overall “going green” initiative. While implementing these ideas, the nominees have increased fleet efficiency and reduced energy consumption or vehicle emissions.
The expert panel of judges will select two winners, one for car/light-truck fleets, and one for truck and equipment fleets. Winners will be announced at NAFA’s 2008 Institute & Expo, May 5, 2008, in “The Green Zone” pavilion of NAFA’s Expo.
