Wednesday, April 02, 2008 DeBary, FL. – RocknBauble.etsy.com announces it will be pledging support of Autism Awareness Month with a donation of 10 percent of the proceeds from the sale of its Autism Awareness Jewelry.

RocknBauble on ETSY.com announced it would support Autism Awareness Month by donating 10 percent of the proceeds from the sale of its Autism Awareness jewelry line. Custom Autism Awareness bracelets, necklaces, earrings and book thongs are available and are being offered through the RocknBauble storefront located on the ETSY.com website. "I am extremely excited to recognize this month with special considerations and donations that will help support the autistic community," said Andi (Jewelry Artist, Mother of 6 and Nurse). Jewelry for all awareness colors and causes is available with a percentage of the proceeds to be given to the cause the particular piece represents and we will place an emphasis on Autism this month.

The Autism Society of America (ASA) established April as national Autism Awareness Month in 1972. The observance provides an opportunity for the ASA, its State chapters, and others in the autism community to educate the public about this disorder. The high rate of autism among all races, ethnicities, and social groups points to a greater need for education, particularly with regard to the early diagnosis of this complex developmental disorder.

RocknBauble.com owner Andi states, “Etsy is a great site where a vast array of people buy and sell all things hand made, they also provide a social outlet for its members and many of the members will also be promoting Autism Awareness this month.” Andi fashions all her awareness jewelry by hand and meticulously selects all materials so each piece is unique. Baubles, Stars, Lampwork Beads, Furnace Glass, Czech Republic Crystals, Swarovski Crystals, Fresh-water Pearls, Sterling Charms, Hearts and Puzzle pieces are used in this superior quality jewelry, as well as some highly desirable variations and more unusual settings most of which are crafted by local artisans. Her flair for style and eye for color shines through in every awareness creation. With overwhelming local success and growing demand for her jewelry she decided to start her storefront on Etsy for greater accessibility with a global reach. In fact, many people like her jewelry so much she receives repeat requests and referrals constantly from all corners of the globe.
